Livingston Central had a dominant weekend as the Lady Cardinals rolled to their second straight All A Classic State softball championship on Sunday.

Livingston Central rolled to a 12-0 win over Ballard Memorial in the championship game at Jack Fisher Park in Owensboro. All three of Livingston’s pool play games on Saturday, as well as two of Sunday’s three tournament games, were decided by the mercy rule.

Livingston Central outscored its six opponents 73-2 at the All A state tourney and outhit them 72-10.

Eighth grader Addison Tramble allowed nine hits in six games pitched, with no earned runs allowed in 26.2 innings pitched. She struck out 50 and walked 11 in the six games.

Tramble combined with Hadley Hargrove in the circle in Livingston’s three Saturday pool play games to allow just one hit in wins over Whitefield Academy (17-2), Trimble County (15-0), and Covington Holy Cross (13-0).

The Lady Cardinals blanked Bethlehem 10-0 in Sunday’s opener behind another one-hitter from Tramble, who struck out 13 and walked one.

The only team not to lose to Livingston Central via the mercy rule was Whitesville Trinity, which managed four hits but lost 6-0.

The Lady Cardinals took down Ballard Memorial 12-0 in the four-inning championship game.

Nevaeh Jennings had two hits and two RBI in the championship game, and Hadley Hagrove added a triple.

In the semifinal win over Whitesville Trinity, Irelynn Burns had three hits, and Tramble, Hargrove, and Emersyn Ramage each had two hits.

In Sunday’s opener against Bethlehem, Tramble had two doubles and a triple as part of a 14-hit attack.

Ramage had three hits and three RBI in Saturday’s final pool play win over Holy Cross.

Joiner smacked Livingston Central’s lone home run of the tournament, part of a three-hit, three-RBI day in the win over Trimble County.

In the tourney opener, Joiner had three hits and four RBI, while Ramage added three hits and three RBI.

The All A state title is the third for Livingston Central, joining title runs in 2014 and last year. With three All A state titles, they only trail Reidland (six) and Louisville Holy Cross (five) for the most. The Lady Cardinals are also the first Second Region school to repeat as All A state champs.

Livingston Central improved to 19-3 with its 11th straight win. The Lady Cardinals will host Union County on Tuesday.
