Former Caldwell County softball standout Ahjareece “A.J.” Hollowell has earned a pair of second-team honors after finishing up her sophomore season at Frontier Community College earlier this month.
On Friday, the Fairfield, Illinois, school announced that the outfielder was a Second Team All-GRAC selection as well as a Second Team All-Region 24 pick by the NJCAA.
Hollowell hit .314 this spring with the Bobcats with a .407 on-base percentage. She had 12 extra-base hits, including a home run, with 19 runs batted in. Hollowell drew a team-high 22 walks.
Frontier finished the season with a 23-28 record.
Hollowell was also a Second Team All-Region 24 selection as a freshman.
Hollowell is a 2023 Caldwell County High School graduate.
She was a career .467 hitter at Caldwell and was named honorable mention all-state as a senior.
Hollowell plans to continue her collegiate softball career at Kentucky Wesleyan College.
