Playing in the competitive B-Division of the Bluegrass State Soccer Games, the Caldwell County Lady Tigers lost their three games played over the weekend in Versailles.

The B-Division featured a region champion, two region runners-up, and three district champions from a year ago.

Caldwell opened with a 4-0 loss to Newport Central Catholic on Saturday. Their second game on Saturday was a 4-1 loss to Ryle. Kinlee Rowland scored Caldwell’s goal with three minutes left in the first half.

The Lady Tigers closed out play on Sunday with a 6-1 loss against Russell.

Caldwell coach Rhett Miller says the team was onboard with playing in the higher class at the BGSG, with the 7th District expected to be the most competitive in the region this year.

Caldwell County will host Owensboro for a preseason scrimmage on July 29.
