Hopkins County Central took second place at the Boys’ Class 2A Golf Sectional at Lakeshore Country Club in Madisonville on Wednesday.
Max Clarke led the Storm with a score of 77, good for fourth place. Ashton Blades shot a 79 to finish tied for fifth place.
Both Clarke and Blades qualified individually for the Class 2A State Tournament to be held Sept. 7-8 in Owensboro.
Ace Wilson shot an 83 to finish in 7th place, and Mason Fileam and Braydin Littlepaige both shot an 89 to tie for 13th place.
Murray’s Maddox Mitchell took medalist honors with a 73.
Hopkins County Central’s score of 328 was 27 shots behind the sectional winner, Murray.
