Kentucky offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan made it clear that Alabama transfer Kendrick Law, who had 33 catches for 343 yards in 34 games for the Crimson Tide, is being counted on to be a big part of UK’s offense.
“A lot of the things we’ll be doing this year will go through Kendrick Law,” said Hamdan.
The 6-foot, 205-pound Law is part of a revamped group of receivers but he is confident he can play a “huge role” for the Kentucky offense.
“I play a huge role in it (UK’s offense), just like everyone in the room plays a huge role in it. What he (Hamdan) is having in mind for me to do, it’s not what average guys do. Coming in with a different build, with a different body type, that was one of the things about me coming here,” Law said.
Law returned 22 kicks for 536 yards at Alabama and the former top-100 recruit believes his versatility will help Kentucky.
“I wanted to be able to use all of the abilities I have,” Law said.
Stoops made it clear when preseason workouts started that Law is a “big, strong” player who would be returning kicks for the Cats — a job Barion Brown did very well the last three years.
Law played receiver, running back and defensive back in high school and was ranked as the fourth-best athlete in the 2022 recruiting class. He wants to show UK coaches and fans how productive he can be.
“I want to showcase everything I can do that I haven’t shown yet in college,” Law said. “I know I can be a deep threat and a big-play guy for this day. I can’t wait to show what I can do.”

Law can bench press 500 pounds. That's incredible. He's stronger than most lineman. He's going to have a monster season!
