It was one the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm had on the edge of going into the win column. McLean County pulled off the reverse sweep Thursday night, taking down the Lady Storm in five tough sets in Calhoun.

Hopkins County Central was rolling along after taking the first two sets in tough battles, 25-23 and 25-22 to go up two sets to none.

But, give the Lady Cougars credit, they did not go away and started clawing their way back into the match. McLean won the third set 25-19 and then repeated that in the fourth set to draw even at two sets each.

McLean County then completed the comeback by winning the all-deciding 5th set 15-10 to take the match three sets to two.

Aalycia Stringer led the attack at the net for the Lady Storm with 11 kills. She also had four service aces. Izzy Gunn added 10 and Calajia Mason had 9.

Tori Crick set the table through the night with 20 assists.

The Lady Storm (2-12) will be in Paducah this weekend taking part in the annual Quad State event.
