
Henderson County continued its run through the 2nd Region in volleyball action at Hopkins County Central on Thursday.
The Lady Colonels defeated the Lady Storm in straight sets, capturing a 25-12, 25-11, 25-14 victory while improving to 18-5 on the season.
Henderson is 9-0 against 2nd Region competition.
Evangeline Loffland had 10 kills and Kylee Lyons had eight to lead the Lady Colonel attack. Loffland also had five digs and four aces while Lyons added three blocks and four digs.
Emmy Sword and Gabby Melvin each had five kills. Sword also recorded a team-high seven aces.
Lilly Payne recorded four kills and two blocks.
Addi Kirtley led Henderson with 14 assists. Kamryn Raley added 11 assists.
Ella Whitledge led the squad with 12 digs while adding five aces.
Henderson is 10-1 in September, with its only loss this month coming to 3rd Region contender Owensboro Catholic.
Meanwhile, Hopkins Central slipped to 3-19 this season.
Henderson visits Union County for 6th District action on Monday.
The Lady Storm will go to Webster County on Tuesday.
