
After a streak of 10 games without a loss came to an end last week with a defeat at Kirkwood, TN, the Trigg County girls’ soccer team got back in the win column on Tuesday with a 6-0 victory over visiting West Creek, TN.
The Lady Wildcats wrapped up the regular season with a record of 14-3-2 thanks to a five-goal night for Addison Humphries. Leiah Hite added a goal and provided three assists, and Landie Hite notched an assist.
Kylie Slone made eight saves to earn her seventh shutout of the season.
The top-seeded Lady Wildcats await the winner of a semifinal matchup between Crittenden County and Lyon County at next week’s 8th District tournament.
