University Heights Academy senior Lincoln Hauret suffered a season-ending leg injury on Monday. He had successful surgery on Wednesday, and on Thursday, he was allowed to conduct the first kick of the Blazers’ game with Hopkins County Central.
It gave Hauret one final chance to walk off Givens Field on his terms. It also showed the sportsmanship of Hopkins County Central, who agreed to let Hauret have his kick and this Max’s Moment.
