She was a big part of a very successful run for the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons soccer team during her three seasons of varsity play. Still, senior Anna Sampson is much more than just a standout on the field. This young lady is top-tier academically and a leader in her school community. All of that, and more, makes Anna another great Chick-fil-A ‘Triple A.’

She is outstanding in the classroom. Anna has taken advanced/honors courses that include AP Human Geography, Pre-AP Biology, Pre-AP English 1, English 101, English 102, AP World History, Pre-AP Chemistry, AP U.S. History, and AP Psychology. She was named ‘Student of the Month’ in Pre-AP Chemistry.

Anna is extensively involved in her school community. She served as Junior Class Student Council Secretary and Executive Student Council Secretary during the 2024-2025 school year.

Anna is also involved with the Key Club at Madisonville-North Hopkins. Key Club is an international, student-led organization that offers members opportunities to serve, build character, and develop leadership. Members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities and learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects, and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district, and international levels.

She has served as the club’s Vice President of Membership. Anna has served as both chair and co-chair for the club’s involvement with Habitat for Humanity in Madisonville, and has also chaired a food drive for the organization. Additionally, she has been involved in activities such as helping with the Hero’s Run, collecting food drive donations, and participating in Read Across America.

Anna has also been involved with Future Business Leaders of America. FBLA is designed to inspire and prepare students to become community-minded business leaders through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. FBLA is the largest Business Career and Technical Student Organization in the world. Anna served as CTC FBLA Vice-President for Membership and attended the state FBLA conference at Murray State University.

She has also found time to be involved with the Beta Club. Beta is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America, which, for more than 80 years, has prepared today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders. Beta’s goal is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

Anna has been involved with the unique Be-YOU-tiful Leaders program. Be-YOU-tiful Leaders involves girls from both Madisonville North Hopkins and Hopkins County Central High schools. It is a student-led organization that promotes positivity and leadership in the schools.

She is active in her church, First United Methodist in Madisonville, and has served for 2 years on the youth leadership team. She has also been involved with the Chrysalis events through the church.

Her long list of volunteer work includes activities with the Salvation Army and involvement with students at Pride Elementary School.

Her soccer coach during her Madisonville career, John Tichenor, sums things up very nicely as it pertains to this very special young lady.

“Anna was a very versatile player for our team over the past few seasons. She had an excellent understanding of every position, and I could play her anywhere on the pitch, knowing she would get the job done. Beyond her talent on the field, Anna is just a tremendous person off it. Everyone likes Anna — she was a great teammate and brought such a positive role model image to the team. I feel very fortunate to have been her head coach over the past several years. She will do great in the game of life!”

Think the coach said it perfectly why Anna is another great Chick-fil-A ‘Triple A.’
