A big day for the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons at the first-ever Russellville Lady Panther Wrestling Classic on Saturday. The Lady Falcons totalled 106 points and finished in second place for the day.
John Hardin took first place with 145 points. Right behind Fort Campbell was Woodford County in third place with 105 points. Henderson County took 4th place with 100.5.
The Lady Falcons had one first-place finish, one second-place finish, two third-place finishes, and one fourth-place finish.
Kayla Maslonka won the 126 class to lead the effort for Fort Campbell. She was 4-0 for the day and defeated Lizzie Ward, of South Warren, in the championship match.
Corey Delmida claimed second place in the 185 class. She went 2-1 for the day, losing to Greycen Roberts, of Owensboro, in the championship match.
Avaley Moore picked up a third-place finish for Fort Campbell in the 145 class. She went 3-1 for the day, defeating Loralai Stephens, of Trigg County, in the third-place match.
The other third-place finish for Fort Campbell came from Sevira Taito. She was 2-1 for the day and got the win over Aaliyah Henderson, of Christian County, in the third-place match of the 235 class.
Liz Porter had the 4th place finish for the Lady Falcons. She went 2-2 in the tournament, losing to June Napier of South Warren in the 3rd-place match in the 138 class.
