This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of December 1 is Hopkinsville High School’s Layton Giltner. Layton was selected based on his efforts in Hopkinsville’s season-opening road win at Hopkins County Central.
Layton had a big night with a double-double performance. He scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as the Tigers won their first game of the 2025-2026 basketball season 82-69 over the Storm.
The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Heritage Christian, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game or event for their team that week.
