Lady Colonels Split Games with East Jessamine and Bowling Green

The Christian County Lady Colonels finished their weekend trip to Tates Creek for the 2nd Annual Spring Break Tournament with a split of games on Saturday. The Lady Colonels finished the weekend at 3-1.

Up next was a game against the Bowling Green Lady Purples. The Lady Colonels got a solid combined pitching effort from Jordan Turner and Alyssa Petterson and got a big game at the plate from Chloe Almy as Christian County got the 6-1 win in six innings.

The Lady Colonels took the lead for good in the top of the first with a three-run inning. The big blow was a two-run double from Jayda Turner.

Bowling Green scored its only run of the game in the bottom of the first to cut the lead to 3-1.

Christian County then put the game away with three runs in the top of the fifth. BB Rodriguez had an RBI double and Chloe Almy added an RBI triple.

For the game, Almy finished 3-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Alexis Epps was 2-4 with a run scored. BB Rodriguez ended up 2-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Jayda Turner was 1-3 with two RBIs.
