Falcons Get Wild Walk-Off Win Over Rebels

Fort Campbell scored the game-winning run on a two-out walk-off walk in the seventh inning as they survived a late Todd County Central rally to claim a 14-13 win on post Monday.

Peyton Loveall coaxed the walk off a full count for the game-winner.

Fort Campbell led 12-6 after five innings before the Rebels scored two in the sixth inning and five in the seventh to tie the game at 13-13.

Ahmon Williams doubled twice as part of a four-hit night. Elijah Crockett and Ryan Sawyer both had three hits for the Falcons, and Dalton Markus and Nathaniel Lake each had a pair of hits. One of Crockett’s hits was a triple, and Markus drove in four runs.

Tanner Farmer had four hits for Todd County Central, while Nick Tutor had two doubles and a triple with two RBIs. Gonzales added two hits and three RBIs.

Lake got the pitching win for the Falcons while McKinley Griggs was the tough luck loser.

Todd County Central, who scored 13 runs after getting shut out in their first four games, fell to 0-5. They will host Russellville Tuesday in a 13th District contest.

Fort Campbell (2-3) travels to Hopkinsville Wednesday for an Eighth District doubleheader.
