Trigg County has been as predictable on the baseball diamond as the recent weather, dropping their second straight game 13-7 at Carlisle County Saturday.

Riley Stallons homered twice and drove in four runs, but Carlisle tagged the Wildcats with a seven-run third inning that decided the game.

Carlisle County pieced together six hits in the inning and was helped by a walk, balk, and Trigg error. Freshman Truman Davis had the big hit of the inning, a two-run homer.

Trigg took a 4-0 lead in the first inning, with Stallons’ first homer coming after a Trevor Cortner walk. His second two-run homer of the day came in the sixth inning.

Micah Brown added two hits, including a double, and an RBI as seven different Wildcats had hits in the game.

Carlisle County (11-5) had 12 hits in the game, with their first four batters going 7-for-15 with seven RBIs.

Stallons took the loss on the mound for Trigg County (8-5), who returns to action Monday when they host Livingston Central with first place in the district on the line.
