Murray’s Jennings 2-Hits Trigg County in 10-0 Win for Tigers

Murray pitcher Dylan Jennings was on his game Friday night. The senior hurler limited the Trigg County Wildcats to just two hits as the Tigers took a home field 5-inning 10-0 win over the Wildcats.

Murray scored twice in the second for all the runs they would need. They added five in the fourth and three more to close out the game in the bottom of the fifth.

The Tigers used 8 hits and six walks to score their 10 runs.

Trigg County’s hits came off the bats of Brayden Jones and Nathan Simmons.

Chase Hampton was tagged with the loss for the Wildcats. He went 3 1/3-innings, giving up seven runs, six of them earned, on six hits, striking out one and walking five.

Jack Elmore had a big game for the Tigers, going 3-3 at the plate with 2 RBIs.

The win ended a four game losing streak for Murray.

Trigg drops to 7-10 on the season. The Wildcats are back on the road Monday as they travel to Madisonville.
