A tough start to a Chicago area tournament for a Christian County Lady Colonel and her Southern Force 2020 16U Chancey 16U team. Southern Force lost three tough games Wednesday and Thursday.
Wednesday, IL Bandits Premier scored in three of their four at bats to pick up the 8-6 win over Southern Force. Christian County’s Hope Jones was 1-2 in the loss for Southern Force.
Thursday, FL Batbusters scored three runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to pick up the 7-4 victory. Hope Jones again was 1-2 in the game for Southern Force.
In their second game Thursday, Southern Force fell behind OH Beverly Bandits Dorsey early and could not rally, falling 6-3. Hope Jones ended up 2-2 in the game with a home run, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI’s.
