Caldwell County went 5-1 over the weekend to claim a tie for fifth place in the championship flight of the Bluegrass State Volleyball Games in Lexington.
Caldwell County started Friday with a 2-0 record against Bishop Brossart (21-16, 21-10) and John Hardin (18-21, 21-9, 15-13). The Lady Tigers went 3-0 in pool play Saturday with wins over Elizabethtown (21-10, 21-11), Bullitt East (21-14, 22-20), and Taylor County (19-21, 21-14, 15-11).
The Lady Tigers earned a bye in the championship flight bracket and fell to Male in the quarterfinals.
Caldwell County, the defending Seventh District champions, open their season Thursday at home against Marshall County.
