After finishing as runnerup the last two seasons in the 7th District, the Madisonville Lady Maroons established themselves as the favorites in the district this season with a 7-0 win over Caldwell County Tuesday night in Madisonville. The win locks up the top seed for the Lady Maroons in the 7th District tournament, and with only three teams in the district, gives Madisonville a berth in the district championship game and an automatic trip to the girls 2nd Region soccer tournament.

The Lady Maroons opened quickly in the match, scoring three goals in the first 14 minutes, including a penalty kick for a hand ball in the box. Madisonville would add 2 more goals over the rest of the first half.

The Lady Maroons spread the wealth around in the first half. Camryn LaGrange scored two goals, while Keely Ashby, Kensley Zeiba, and Sara Holland added a goal apiece.

Madisonville got the offense rolling again quickly in the second half, as Abigail Center scored 11 minutes into the second half to extend the lead to 6-0. Zamar Golightly added a goal later in the half to finish out the 7-0 Lady Maroon win.

Caldwell County drops to 4-6 on the season, and 0-1 in the 7th District.
