Trigg Lady Wildcats Roar Past Fulton County

The Trigg County Lady Wildcats had a special holiday celebration a couple of days after the man in the red suit visited the area. Trigg County exploded for 23 points in the first quarter on their way to a 58-17 win over Fulton County in the 1st Lady Warrior Shootout at Community Christian Academy.

Not only did the Lady Wildcats’ offense come out clicking, but the Lady Wildcats defense did as well. Trigg County limited Fulton County to just two field goals in the first quarter as the Lady Wildcats raced out to a 23-4 lead.

It was more of the same in the 2nd quarter. Trigg County again held the Lady Pilots to 2 field goals, plus three free throws in the quarter. Trigg County was able to extend the lead to 37-11 at the half.

The Lady Wildcat defense actually got stingier in the 3rd quarter. Trigg County only allowed one field goal and one free throw, and the Lady Wildcats moved the lead out to 52-14 after three.

With the running clock, the game played out much quicker in the final quarter as Trigg County sealed up the 41 point margin.

Rylee Bush and Katelyn Slone score 12 points each for Trigg County. Adri Phillips added 9.

The win, which was Trigg County’s 2nd in a row, improved the Lady Wildcats to 5-8 on the season.
