Adams, Hendricks Place in Top Three at Middle School State Tourney

Christian County wrestlers Mason Kellett, J.T. Adams, and Caleb Anderson brought home top five finishes at the Kentucky Middle School State Wrestling Tournament.

Christian County had three wrestlers reach the podium at the Kentucky State Middle School Wrestling Tournament in Louisville Saturday.

J.T. Adams won the 152-pound class. He won two of his matches by pin, including the championship match over Union County’s Tristan Moore.

Trigg County’s Andrew Hendricks finished third in the 190-pound class at the Kentucky State Middle School Wrestling Tournament Saturday.

Mason Kellett took fifth place in the 121-pound class. He went 3-2 in the early rounds and defeated Walton-Verona’s Chris Harward 6-1 in the fifth place match.

Caleb Anderson finished fifth in the 152-pound class. He went 5-2 on the afternoon before his day ended in the consolation semifinal.

Trigg County’s Andrew Hendricks finished third in the 190-pound class. After dropping his second match, he won three straight and defeated Letcher County’s Christian Griffith with a pin inside of a minute to claim third place.
