A slow start doomed Trigg County Monday in a Fifth District volleyball loss to Crittenden County at Wildcat Gym.
The Lady Wildcats lost their first set 25-10 and dropped the second 25-7. Trigg rallied in the third set before falling 25-18. The loss dropped Trigg County to 0-3 in district play and means they will be the No. 3 seed in next month’s district tournament at Crittenden County.
The Lady Rockets have sewn up the top seed in the tourney on their home floor with a sweep of Livingston Central. Trigg County has another matchup with Crittenden County (10-11) scheduled for next Tuesday.
Trigg County (0-17) will look to nab their first win of the season Tuesday when they host Union County at Wildcat Gym. Union beat Trigg in four sets back on Sept. 9.
