It’s been a tough season for the Christian County Lady Colonels who have endured injuries to over half of their starting lineup. Despite the tough times, the Lady Colonels snapped an 11-game winless streak Thursday with a 3-2 win over Union County on Senior Night.
Lilly Larkins scored less than a minute into the contest and added two more goals to complete the hat trick. Emma Fleming assisted on two of the goals, and the third came on a penalty kick.
Eniya McGee, one of three seniors recognized before the game had eight saves in goal for the Lady Colonels, who improved to 4-14-1 on the season.
Christian County will play University Heights Monday in the district semifinals at the Stadium of Champions.
