Clarksville Northeast Saturday became the first team so far this season to break the 50 point mark against the Madisonville Lady Maroons. They also became the seventh straight team to lose to the Lady Maroons. Madisonville scored the first six points of the game and never trailed on their way to a 77-56 win in the quarterfinal round of the Food Bank Holiday Classic at Russellville High School.

After scoring the first six points of the contest, the Lady Maroons would roll on out to a 23-9 lead after the opening quarter. Northeast could seem to find no answers to the Madisonville quartet of Camryn LaGrange, Kara Franklin, and Lindsey and Courtey Peyton.

Northeast was able to stem the tide, at least temporarily in the second quarter. Both teams put up 16 points in the period, as Madisonville went to the break with a 39-25 lead.

Madisonville then put the game away in the 3rd quarter. With Camryn LaGrange tossing in 12 points in the third, the Lady Maroons extended their lead to 59-33 heading into the final quarter.

The Lady Maroons would then put it on cruise control and roll on out for the 21 point win.

Camryn LaGrange led four Lady Maroons in double figures with 21 points. Courtney Peyton chipped in with 15. Lindsey Peyton scored 13. Amari Lovan also reached double figures with 10 points.

Northeast was led by Cierra Bowers with 16.
