Haydon Reynolds finished second Sunday at the Kentucky Junior PGA’s Marshall Strong Classic at the Calvert City Country Club.
The Trigg County freshman shot an opening-round 84 on Saturday and followed with a 90 on Sunday to finish 15 shots behind the winner, Luke Wilson of Paducah.
Reynolds had a birdie in each round and finished the weekend with the best aggregate score on par-5 holes.
Reynolds said there were some good things that came from his weekend as he gets ready for the start of the high school season at the end of the month.
