
Webster County senior Grant Puckett has thrown his name into region favorite’s ring for 2020 after a second-place finish Sunday at the Bluegrass Tour’s Central Kentucky Championship in Lexington.
Puckett had three birdies on the back nine of the Kearney Hill Golf Links Course to finish with a 2-under 70. He ended up one shot behind the winner, Andreas Olsen of Louisville.
Puckett’s first-round Saturday included three birdies and an eagle. He added five more birdies Sunday.
Madisonville’s Kaleb Adams shot 11-over for the two days and finished tied for eighth place. He also had an eagle on Saturday.
