Two members of the Lyon County boys basketball team are among those listed in the top players in the state in the August update from basketball guru Rick Bolus. Bolus released his latest list on kyprephoops.com.
Among the players from Kentucky included on the list are junior Gunnar Bingham and freshman Travis Perry.
During the 2019-2020 season, Bingham averaged 9.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per contest. Bingham is listed among the top 61 players in the Class of 2022.
Perry averaged 26.6 points and 4.5 rebounds a game. Perry also knocked down 83 3-point shots over the course of the season. Bolus lists Perry in the top 8 of the Class of 2024.
The Lyons finished the season at 23-10, falling to Webster County in the regional semifinals. The Lyons are expected to be among the top teams in the 2nd Region for the 2020-2021 season.
