After withdrawing his commitment from UT-Martin when former head coach Ryan Ridder announced he was leaving the OVC school to become the next head coach at Mercer University, Lyon County standout Brady Shoulders has decided to follow Ridder to his new destination.
In a social media post Wednesday afternoon, Shoulders announced that he would be heading off to Mercer to continue his basketball career playing for the Bears.
Shoulders’ announcement that he was changing his mind about UT-Martin came just prior to his helping to lead Lyon County to its first-ever boys’ state basketball championship.
Mercer finished the 2023-2024 season at 16-17, falling to Samford in the Southern Conference tournament quarterfinals.
