The delaying of the high school football playoffs by a week has allowed one area school to reverse their decision not to take part in the football postseason. Officials at Webster County High School told YourSportsEdge.Com Tuesday afternoon that they now plan to be a part of the Class 3A playoffs.

Back on November 6, Webster County announced they would not be playing in the playoffs after the school board announced they would be suspending school and all athletics for a two week period. That two week period now would expire prior to the first night of the high school football playoffs.

Webster County is scheduled to travel to Union County for a #4 seed vs #1 seed matchup.

The two teams met October 30, with Union County coming away with the 40-8 win in Dixon.
