Hunter Reynolds shot even par over his final nine holes to win the Bluegrass Golf Tour opener Saturday at the Calvert City Country Club.
All golfers began their day on hole No. 10. The Trigg County junior had four bogeys and two birdies over his first nine holes to make the turn at 2-over.
He birdied his first two holes after the turn and stayed at even-par until he bogeyed two of his final three holes to finish at 2-over for the round.
He beat Marshall County sophomore Trey Wall by two shots and Hopkinsville High senior James Folz by four shots.
Folz began his day slow with a double-bogey and two bogeys over his first five holes. He settled down to par 11 of his final 13 holes.
Logan County senior Elijah Forbes finished 10th with a round of 83.
Caldwell County freshman Austin Crick improved two shots over his final nine holes to shoot an 86 and finished tied with Hopkinsville High junior Will Binkley for 12th place. Binkley also improved two shots over his second nine holes.
