Two Podium Finishes Lead Crittenden County at State Track

Tristan Davidson’s trip to the medal podium led the Crittenden County Track and Field Team Thursday at the Class 1A State Meet in Lexington.

He finished fourth in the high jump with a height of six feet, two inches shy of the school record he set earlier this year at the Invitational of the South.

He was also 15th in the 100-meter dash in 11.68 seconds.

Noah McGowan was 11th in the discus throw with a heave of 120-03 and was 21st in the shot put with a distance of 38-06.75.

Eli Moss was 17th in the 400 meters in 53.63.

The 400-meter relay team consisting of Kaleb Nesbitt, Tristan Davidson, Noah Perkins, and Eli Moss was 11th in 46.16 seconds.

The 1600-meter relay team of Noah Perkins, Kaleb Nesbitt, Rowen Perkins, and Eli Moss finished 14th with a time of 3:44.09, less than two seconds shy of the school record set in 2009.

Crittenden County finished in 30th place with four points.

For the girls, Mary Martinez was 20th in the 3200-meter run in 16:07.45.

The Lady Rockets scored four points, which came from Kate Keller’s fifth-place finish in the 1600-meter run.  They were 34th as a team.
