Kentucky’s Big Blue Wall just keeps adding more and more building blocks. The Cats got a verbal commitment from 6-6, 300-pound Nikolas Hall, a three-star recruit from Austin, Texas, who is the son of former UK tackle Antonio Hall, on Saturday to go with earlier commitments from Indiana four-star lineman Kiyaunta Goodwin and four-star lineman Grant Bingham of Johnson Central.
Hall is rated among the nation’s top 100 offensive linemen going into his senior season. He committed to UK over offers from Arizona State, Baylor, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, West Virginia, Colorado, Virginia Tech, and others.
247 Sports Composite ranks him 799th overall in the 2022 recruiting class, 73rd among offensive tackles, and 108th in the state of Texas for the 2022 class.
Antonio Hall was a two-time all-Southeastern Conference selection during his career at UK from 2000-04 when he started 45 straight games. He was part of a national championship team in 1997 at Canton McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio.
He had a seven-year professional career that included a stint with the Indianapolis Colts, time in the Canadian Football League, and the Kentucky Horsemen in Lexington.
Antonio Hall was one of the nation’s top offensive linemen when he picked Kentucky and one reason he signed with UK was the music program. Hall sang with the school choir at UK as well as the Lexington Singers. He was also an accomplished piano player.
