The Caldwell County boys’ soccer team has taken a few lumps the last couple of seasons while playing a lot of young players.

The Tigers went 4-12-1 two years ago and were 3-4-3 in last season’s COVID-shortened campaign.

However, hopes are high this season as Caldwell looks to become a challenger in both the 7th District and the 2nd Region with a more-experienced squad.

Tiger head coach Tanner Reed begins his third season at Caldwell County.

He said following practice on Monday that the Tigers did not lose a player to graduation.

The Caldwell County soccer teams open the regular season on Monday, Aug. 9, when they host Webster County for a girls and boys doubleheader at Butler Stadium.
