Caldwell County played its first football scrimmage Friday night, hosting Owensboro Catholic at Tiger Stadium in Princeton.
The defenses ruled most of the first half, with the Aces outscoring the Tigers 9-0.
Both teams worked in lots of reserves in the second half, with the final score reaching 36-6 in favor of Owensboro Catholic.
Caldwell’s lone touchdown came late when Graham Grissom scored on a 4-yard run.
The Tigers will travel to Owensboro next week to take on the Owensboro Red Devils at Rash Stadium.
The regular season opens in two weeks, at home, against Christian County.
