For the third time this season, the Todd County Central volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 victory over Franklin-Simpson, with Monday night’s win sending the Lady Rebels into the 13th-District title match with Logan County.

Winners of seven of their last eight matches, the Lady Rebels will look to get over the hump against the Lady Cougars on Tuesday.  Todd Central has lost all seven times the teams have met to decide the championship.

After being honored before the match for eclipsing 1,000 career kills earlier in the season, Todd Central’s Lucy Chester had nine in the opening set.  The Lady Rebels led 13-5 after back-to-back kills by Emily Oden and held the Lady Wildcats to only three more points the rest of the way.

It was more of the same in the second, with Chester continuing to dominate at the net and the Lady Rebels serving up four aces on the way to a 25-12 win.

Todd Central closed out the match with a 25-9 win in the third set, taking a 5-1 lead and closing on a 14-4 run.
