
William Lubas turned in a personal record 17:13.21 at Saturday’s 1A Region 1 cross county meet, capturing the region title and helping the Falcons to a 3rd-place finish. Fort Campbell moves on to next week’s state meet at the Bourbon County Cross Country Course.
Lubas led from start to finish at the Trigg County Recreation Complex, besting UHA’s Cole Glover in 2nd-place by 19 seconds.
Joshua Blanton was 15th for the Falcons with a 19:50.89, followed by Amari Waddy’s 20:09.55 in 19th.
Brock Sharp ran 27th with a 21:18.38, James Fisher was 38th, and Gunner Principe ran 45th, just ahead of Scott Bricker in 47th.
The Falcons totaled 96 points and an average time of 20:08.01, trailing Murray High in 2nd and region champions Dawson Springs.
