When Keeton Harris suffered a spinal injury in the football preseason, he could have gone home and not involved himself with the sport any longer. However, the Trigg County High School senior remained involved on the sidelines.
Harris wants to go into the medical field after high school. So what better pre-college training than to learn during the week and stay involved with football.
Harris has shadowed Ray Carroll, Trigg County’s athletic trainer since the first week of the football season. While it’s unfortunate that he has seen his share of torn ACLs and separated shoulders from Wildcat players this year, he’s also learned more about them and their treatment. It’s information that gives him a head start before college.
And it’s also kept Keeton involved with football even though it’s no longer on the field of play.
