Former Caldwell County standout Jaylen Boyd topped 100 yards rushing for the third-straight game as Lindsey Wilson College finished its regular season with a 49-0 win at the University of the Cumberlands on Saturday.
Boyd ran for 115 yards on 18 carries and also caught three passes for 30 yards as the top-ranked Blue Raiders finished the regular season 10-0.
Boyd led a Lindsey Wilson ground game that churned out 256 yards — part of a 602-yard offensive outburst.
Boyd, a senior, has played in 44 games at Lindsey Wilson with 36 starts. He now has 913 yards rushing this year as he goes for his second 1,000-yard season at Lindsey Wilson. (Boyd rushed for 1,119 yards in the 2019-20 season.)
His school-record rushing mark is now at 3,354 yards.
Boyd has also caught 78 career passes for another 778 yards.
The defending NAIA national champion Blue Raiders will begin the postseason next Saturday, hosting an opening-round game in the NAIA Football Championship Series.
The NAIA will announce the 16-team playoff field at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
