Hoptown Girls Win Rick Cohn Invitational

The Hopkinsville girls’ swim team easily won the Rick Cohn Invitational Saturday at the school’s aquatic center named for the late Hoptown swim coach.

The Lady Tigers had two individual first place finishes and three wins in the relays.

In the team standings, Hopkinsville totaled 472 points to finish 262 points ahead of second place Fort Campbell.

The boys’ team came in ninth place with 55 points.

GIRLS’ TOP TEN FINISHES

Elizabeth Langhi – 1st in the 200-yard IM [2:30.92]; 2nd in the 100-yard back [1:10.21]

Lauren Montgomery – 1st in the 100-yard free [58.62]; 2nd in the 50-yard free [26.68]

Grace Cansler – 2nd in the 100-yard breast [1:19.02]; 5th in the 50-yard free [28.95]

Addison Grise – 3rd in the 500-yard free [6:48.84]; 6th in the 200-yard free [2:29.39]

Anna Hernandez – 4th in the 200-yard free [2:28.66]; 4th in the 100-yard free [1:05.55]

Eliza Renshaw – 5th in the 100-yard fly [1:36.80]

Riley Robinson – 6th in the 200-yard IM [2:50.43]

Livie Jorgensen – 7th in the 100-yard free [1:06.88]; 8th in the 50-yard free [30.05]

Caroline Payne – 8th in the 200-yard free [2:38.02]

 

The 200-yard medley relay team of Elizabeth Langhi, Riley Robinson, Lauren Montgomery, and Livie Jorgensen won in a time of 2:08.95.

The 200-yard free relay team of Grace Cansler, Anna Hernandez, Livie Jorgensen, and Lauren Montgomery won in a time of 1:55.93.

The 400-yard free relay team of Caroline Payne, Anna Hernandez, Addison Grise, and Grace Cansler won in a time of 4:33.17.

The 200-yard free relay team finished sixth in a time of 2:11.96

 

BOYS’ TOP TEN FINISHES

Cam Peacock – 2nd in the 500-yard free [6:09.82]

The 200-yard free relay team finished seventh in a time of 2:20.58.
