It was a pretty good start to her sophomore collegiate season over the weekend for former Christian County Lady Colonel Aaliyah Hampton. Hampton scored 26 points as Berea College opened their season with a 65-61 win on the road Saturday night against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
In addition to her team-high 26 points, Hampton finished the night with six steals, three rebounds, and a blocked shot.
Hampton played 35 minutes of the game, going 7-23 from the field, including 2-10 from behind the arc.
Berea will be back in action again Tuesday night, facing Campbellsville-Harrodsburg on the road.
