Hallie Zieg brings a nice intensity to the floor for the Heritage Christian Academy Warriors as she enters her third season as a starter.

With losses to graduation last year, she will be moving into a leadership role for the 2021-22 HCA squad. Last year, the junior was named to both the KCAA All-State Team and the All-Tournament Team.

Her motor allowed her to grab 8.1 rebounds a game last year — second in the KCAA — and rank in the top 10 in steals, assists, and blocks.

This year, Zieg will be asked to score more and she’s already off to a fast start for the Lady Warriors. She scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in HCA’s season-opening win over Valor Christian last week.

Zieg also plays for HCA’s softball team and is expected to be a key member of the Lady Warriors in the spring. She has a chance to join former teammate Kinley Deason as recent Lady Warriors to earn All-State honors in both basketball and softball.
