Colonels Swimmers Take Second in Quad Meet

Christian County had another strong showing in the pool Thursday, finishing second in a four-team meet at the Rick Cohn Aquatic Center.

Shaw Howell captured a pair of first place finishes for the Colonels and Mitchell Havens added a third.

The Colonels had a pair of relay teams also take first place.

Christian County totaled 216 points to finish in second place, 98.5 points behind first place Logan County.

Shaw Howell – 1^st in the 50-yard freestyle [28.98]; 1^st in the 100-yard freestyle [1:06.98]

Mitchell Havens – 1^st in the 100-yard backstroke [1:11.08]; 2^nd in the 100-yard butterfly [1:11.65]

Fernando Montes – 2^nd in the 100-yard freestyle [1:11.27]; 3^rd in the 50-yard freestyle [31.34]

Valentin Gonzales – 5^th in the 100-yard freestyle [1:16.15]; 7^th in the 200-yard freestyle [2:51.51]

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Shaw Howell, Valentin Gonzales, Fernando Montes, and Mitchell Havens won in a time of 2:05.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Mitchell Havens, Valentin Gonzales, Fernando Montes, and Shaw Howell won in a time of 4:45.32.
