Gerard Thomas had 22 points as Henderson County held off defending 2nd Region champion University Heights Academy 56-47 Tuesday night in Henderson.
Henderson (3-0) led 24-17 at halftime and took a 36-28 advantage to the final stanza.
Cooper Davenport added 17 points for the homestanding Colonels.
Lemar Northington was the only Blazer to score in double figures with 16 points.
UHA, now 1-2, will host Murray on Thursday.
