Lyon County’s Calista Collins topped 1,000 career points, but Crittenden County’s girls remained unbeaten on the season.
The Lady Rockets jumped out to a 16-8 lead after one quarter and went on to post a 63-51 victory over the Lady Lyons Monday night in Marion.
Taylor Guess scored 13 of her game-high 23 points in the second half to help Crittenden (7-0 overall, 3-0 district) put the game away.
Collins reached 1,000 career points in the first quarter and finished the night with 14 points. Collins topped 1,000 career rebounds March 9, 2021, in a win over Christian Fellowship School.
Rose Smith had 15 points for Lyon, which had won four straight. The Lady Lyons are now 5-5 and 1-1.
Lilly Perry added eight points for Lyon.
Crittenden got 11 points from Natalie Boone and 10 from Anna Boone.
Crittenden led 31-22 at halftime.
Lyon was within 24-22 before the Lady Rockets closed the first half with seven straight points.
The Lady Lyons were within four points in the third period before Crittenden opened up a 46-34 advantage entering the final frame.
The contest was a rescheduled date from Dec. 11.
