After being a disruptive force for the Todd County Central Rebels on the football field for the 2021 football season, Chase Wells now will get the chance to play on the collegiate level. Wells announced via Twitter Thursday morning that he would be headed to Owensboro to play for the Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers.

Wells was the Rebels’ 2nd leading tackler during his senior season, finishing with 87. However, Wells was a massively disrupting force on defense, ending the season with 18 ½ tackles for loss and 8 ½ sacks. Wells also had four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

While he made his say on defense, so to say, Wells did get a few chances to shine on offense. He had eight rushing attempts on the season, with two of those resulting in touchdowns.

Kentucky Wesleyan is coached by former University of Kentucky standout Craig Yeast.
