Biggersville Holds Off Lee 64-54 at WKY Hoops Classic (w/PHOTOS)

Biggersville, Miss., gained the upper hand with a 21-8 advantage in the second quarter and went on to upend Robert E. Lee of Montgomery, Ala., 64-54 Monday in the West Kentucky Hoops Classic in Princeton.

The game was tied 16-16 after one period before Biggersville went to halftime with a 37-24 advantage. It was 50-38 through three quarters.

Brooks Brand had 18 points, seven rebounds and four steals to lead Biggersville. He was the Lions’ Player of the Game. Zae Davis also had 18 points for the Mississippi Class A school.

For Lee, Laneer Surles had 12 points and 10 rebounds and was the Generals’ Player of the Game.
