Caldwell County residents who lost their homes during the December 10 tornado will get a chance to enjoy some Big Blue basketball action this week. Princeton Mayor Kota Young has announced that the University of Kentucky is sending a chartered bus to pick up 54 residents who lost their homes and take them to the game against Missouri Wednesday night at Rupp Arena. The game is the SEC opener for the Cats.
There will be 27 winners of two tickets each.
The guidelines for this special event are:
– The tickets are limited to Caldwell County residents who lost their homes in the tornado.
– Each submission will be for two (2) tickets. Tickets must be used by those directly impacted by the storm.
– The tickets are for the standing room area normally used by the pep band.
– The charter bus will be leaving at around 1:45pm Wednesday afternoon to make it to Lexington in time for tip-off. The bus will be returning after the game.
