
Hopkinsville claimed fifth place at the City of Middletown Classic Wednesday in Louisville with a 67-64 win over Central. It was Hoptown’s second win over the Yellowjackets in a week.
Bubba Leavell knocked down a trio of first half 3-pointers on his way to 11 points.
KC Cabiness scored eight of his 14 points in the third quarter as the Tigers extended a seven-point halftime lead to 51-42 after three quarters.
Antonio Williams led Hopkinsville with 15 points with Isaiah Manning adding 10 points.
Hopkinsville returns to action Tuesday with a home game against Henderson County.
