The Dawson Springs Panthers returned to the court for the first time since Dec. 9 — the day before a tornado left extensive damage in that community.

The Panthers faced the same adversary, dropping an 86-38 decision Tuesday night at Madisonville-North Hopkins in 7th District action.

The Maroons (11-3 overall, 2-0 district) got 16 points from Kale Gaither and 10 from DeAaron Watkins in the victory.

Madisonville ran out to a 43-21 lead at halftime.

Dilyn Skinner had 11 points for Dawson Springs (1-7, 0-3). Rex Blue and Rett Nieters each added 10 points.

Madisonville next hosts Caldwell County for more district action on Friday.

The Panthers are scheduled to host Webster County on Thursday.
