Hopkinsville senior Kaitlyn Kaetzel will continue her softball career at Shawnee College in Illinois.
Kaetzel, one of the top catchers in the region, was a key member of the Lady Tiger softball team in 2021 and was named all-district and all-region in addition to being named to the 2021 preseason all-region player list. She hit .390 with a team-high 13 RBIs in 2021.
The versatile Kaetzel began her playing career at Heritage Christian Academy before transferring to Hopkinsville High and is active with travel softball over the summer.
Shawnee Community College is located in Ullin, Illinois, and competes in Region 24 of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
